Project Description:
Software Freedom Kosova 2013 was a conference dedicated to promoting free and open-source software, fostering collaboration, and providing hands-on learning opportunities. The initiative aimed to advance knowledge and practical skills in open-source technologies through lectures and workshops, engaging participants from Kosovo and international experts.
Activities:
Conducted a three-day conference with lectures and practical workshops
Delivered lectures on free software, security, and cloud computing on the first day
Facilitated practical workshops on JavaScript (EmberJS), Firefox OS APIs, HTML5/WebRTC, open data, Drupal, database management, HTML5/CSS3, WordPress, and Arduino hardware
Engaged participants in hands-on application development and open-source hardware testing
Beneficiaries:
The primary beneficiaries were university students, young professionals, and tech enthusiasts in Kosovo interested in free and open-source software, seeking to enhance their technical skills and connect with global open-source communities.
