On February 5th, FLOSSK hosted a community discussion at Prishtina Hackerspace about the state of recycling in Kosovo. Waste management remains a significant challenge in the region, with limited infrastructure and public awareness hindering progress. This event aimed to shed light on the current situation and explore practical solutions that individuals and communities can adopt to promote sustainability.

Discussion Highlights:

  • Current State of Waste Management – Engjëll Rodiqi provided an overview of how waste is managed in Kosovo and the challenges faced by municipalities.
  • Successful Recycling Initiatives – Examples of local and regional initiatives that have effectively tackled waste issues were presented, inspiring participants to take action.
  • Community Involvement – Attendees were encouraged to share their ideas and experiences on waste sorting, composting, and sustainable practices.
