Free Libre Open Source Software Kosova (FLOSSK) is a non-governmental organization based in Prishtina established in 2009 in order to support, promote and develop free and open source software. Besides, we also contribute to open and participatory knowledge, education in information technologies through open courseware, and open standards, culture and open society using free communication.
Since its founding, FLOSSK has been involved in bringing the IT community closer to free and open source projects by organizing yearly conferences, workshops, meetups and actively participating in public policy development.

Membership and the Excecutive Board
FLOSSK and Prishtina Hackerspace as a collaborative space enumerate over 40 members who contribute to the projects of the association.
The Executive Board:
Besfort, a FLOSSK members since 2009, is the President of the Executive Board at FLOSSK. He engages in the promotion of free software, open culture, and free knowledge through different projects, such as OpenStreetMap. Besfort is a Member of the OpenStreetMap Foundation and member at Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team. He runs a small company, focused in Geographical Information Network and Web Development.
Enkelena is an embedded systems software engineer at Solaborate, focused on the Linux Kernel. She is a FOSS enthusiast and a Board member at FLOSSK. She currently studies Computerized Automation and Robotics at University of Prishtina.
Staff:
Elira has finished her undergraduate studies at University of Prishtina in Psychology. With previous experience in assisting project management, she is enthusiastic about helping develop tech projects.
With over 8 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Administration in NGOs, corporations, medium and individual businesses. She is pursuing postgraduate studies at the University of Sheffield in Greece.
