🙌 Që nga muaji dhjetor i vitit 2021, FLOSSK ka filluar të mbajë trajnime dhe takime të vazhdueshme me të rinj dhe komunitetin open-source.

👥 Gjatë trajnimeve tërë-ditore në 16 shkolla të mesme të Kosovës kanë marrë pjesë rreth 300 të rinj. Gjatë këtyre trajnimeve janë prezantuar bazat praktike të elektronikës përmes platformës së hapur Arduino si dhe është përfshirë orientimi në karrierë në fushat përkatëse.

💻 Përveç trajnimeve në shkolla, kemi filluar edhe trajnimet specifike si ‘’Dizajnimi i PCB me KiCAD’’ në të cilin aktualisht po trajnohen rreth 15 të rinj. Trajnimi fokusohet në dizajnimin e një pllake (development board) me një mikrokontroller dhe qarkun përcjellës.

👨🏻‍💻️👩🏻‍💻️Për më tepër, gjashtë të rinj të grupmoshës 14-18 vjeç janë duke marrë pjesë në trajnimin ‘’Zhvillimi i Prototipeve në IoT’’ gjatë të cilit po mësojnë se si të hulumtojnë dhe krijojnë zgjidhje inovative në lëminë e Internet of Things. Disa nga temat që po ligjërohen janë Hulumtimi & Zhvillimi i ideve, Dizajni, Elektronika, Hardueri & Softueri i hapur, 3D printimi etj.

➡️ Kjo rrjedhë e trajnimeve do të vazhdojë edhe me tri trajnime të tjera në Linux Kernel dhe “Rapid Prototyping” që do të mbahen gjatë muajit maj dhe qershor.

🎉 FLOSSK po ashtu është duke vazhduar takimet mujore me grupet e përdoruesëve në OpenStreetMap, Open Hardware, Linux, Flutter dhe InfoSec.

Këto aktivitete po mbahen në kuadër të projektit ‘’Trajnime për Punësim’’ të financuar nga Ministria e Kulturës, Rinisë dhe Sportit të Republikës së Kosovës.

Ekipi i DebConf fton 👥vullnetarët entuziastë të jenë pjesë e organizimit të konferencës ndërkombëtare të DebConf në Kosovë. Çdo vit, ekipi i DebConf mbështetet nga një ekip i vullnetarëve të cilët ndihmojnë në detyra të ndryshme rreth konferencës dhe e bëjnë atë një vend argëtues dhe të sigurtë për të gjithë pjesëmarrësit.

DebConf është konferenca vjetore e zhvilluesve të sistemit operativ Debian, që ka për qëllim zhvillimin, mbarëvajtjen dhe promovimin këtij sistemi.

DebConf’22 do të mbahet në Innovation and Training Park, Prizren në datat 17-24 korrik, 2022. Konferenca do të paraprihet nga DebCamp që do të mbahet më 10-16 korrik, 2022.

📢 DebConf’22 needs you!

The DebConf team invites 👥enthusiastic volunteers to be part of the organization of the international DebConf conference in Kosovo. Every year, the DebConf team is assisted by a team of volunteers to help out with various tasks and make the event a fun and safe place for all our participants.

DebConf is the annual conference of Debian operating system developers, aimed at developing, running and promoting this system.

DebConf’22 will be held at the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren from 17-24 July, 2022. It will be preceded by DebCamp on 10-16 July, 2022.

This conference offers great networking and partnership opportunities which can be beneficial for volunteers too. Previous Debian conferences have featured speakers and attendees from 🗺️ all around the world.

Call for Participants for the Cyber Security Threat Hunting Workshop! 🎉

This training will provide an overview of ethical cyber security as a career, including hands-on, technical labs using some of the security industry’s most well-known tools. The content is 10% offensive and 90% defensive in nature with a specific focus on enterprise threat hunting.

💻 The training is free to anybody interested in cyber security with a learner’s mindset and a willingness to freely share what you learn with others.

📆 Training will be held at Prishtina Hackerspace during three all-day workshops on April 23-24, 2022, and April 29, 2022 and will cover these topics:

➖Ethical security career overview
➖Personal security and privacy best practices
➖Enterprise threat hunting (numerous hands-on, technical labs)
➖Networking with Kosovar security students and professionals for continued learning

⚫ Daniel Bohannon, facilitator of the training, is a Principal Security Researcher at Microsoft currently living in Atlanta, Georgia USA. He has a MS in Information Security from the Georgia Institute of Technology and over 12 years of IT experience including security research and incident response consulting at Mandiant. ➡️ PCB-të tashmë janë teknologjia dominuese në realizimin e qarqeve elektronike. Gati çdo pajisje elektronike ka një PCB, duke filluar prej telefonit te pajisjet moderne mjekësore e sistemet e navigimit satelitor. Proceset e reja të prodhimit na mundesojnë me realizu qarqe shume më të dendura dhe më të sigurta. Megjithatë, përpos proceseve të prodhimit, kërkohet që gjatë dizajnimit të ndjeken praktikat më të mira. Nga ana tjetër, kostoja e prodhimit është ulë aq shumë, sa që mundemi me konsideru me prodhu PCB, jo vetëm për produkte, por edhe për detyra shkollore e projekte për hobi.

Përgjatë këtij trajnimi kemi me dizajnu një pllakë (development board) me një mikrokontroller dhe qarkun përcjellës. Secila pllakë e dizajnuar nga pjesëmarrësit/et do të dergohet për prodhim. Për këtë aryse, secili pjesëmarrës duhet të ketë 💻 laptop gjatë orëve të trajnimit.

Seria e punëtorive të PCB është e ndarë në dy faza:

⚫ Faza I do të fokusohet në njoftim me KiCad 6 dhe PCB-të, dizajnimin e skemave dhe PCB-ve deri te gjenerimi i fajllave për prodhim. Kjo fazë zgjatë 6 sesione nga 1.5 orë në ditë dhe fillon më datë 14 Mars. Orari i trajnimeve është 17:30 – 19:00.

⚫ Faza II do të zgjasë 4 sesione nga 1.5 orë në ditë dhe objektiv kryesor do të ketë montimin e komponenteve dhe validimin e PCB-ve.

We are officially announcing the Information Security Conference – BSides Prishtina 2022! 🎉

Security BSides is a grass roots, DIY, open security conference! BSides Prishtina is a free conference which aims to bring together leading security experts, enthusiasts and activists to exchange and share their experiences and research results.

FLOSSK is a co-organizer of this conference which will be held on April 30, 2022, at the University of Prishtina.

Over the course of four sessions, young women participated in the Digital Storytelling Workshop lectured by Douglas Arellanes and held at American Corner Prishtina.

During the training, participants learned the basics of digital storytelling by creating their own multimedia story. They used mural.io to build their stories, Audacity to edit their audio, as well as learned about Vimix, Gimp, and Twine as digital open source tools.

This training is part of the project “USTEAM for Prishtina” which will continue with two more trainings in April-May, 2022.

This project is funded through the U.S. Speaker Program for Kosovo supported by the U.S. Embassy Pristina, Kosovo.

Thousands of programmers and technology enthusiasts come together for two days at the University of Brussels and hold meetings, presentations and workshops in dozens of rooms at the same time, on a variety of topics: Containers; Cloud computing; Big data and Data science; Embedded, Mobile and Automotive; Graph systems and algorithms; Programming languages; Software composition; Web performance etc.

🙌 Young girls and women are participating in the Digital Storytelling Workshop which is being held at American Corner Pristina and facilitated by Douglas Arellanes.

✨During these two days participants have learned tools and techniques in multimedia storytelling as well as video shooting and audio recording.

👏 Participants come from different backgrounds such as fine arts, architecture, social media managing, business development, etc. The workshop will continue for two more days during the next week.

During the months of December and January we held all-day trainings with around 👩‍🎓️👨‍🎓️ 300 young people in 16 high schools in Kosovo.

💻 During the trainings, the practical basics of electronics were introduced through the open platform Arduino. In addition, these trainings also included career guidance in relevant fields.

These activities were implemented in partnership with the program “After School Support for Teens” – ASSET funded by USAID Kosovo and implemented by Kosovo Education Center – KEC, in partnership with FHI360 and Crimson Capital Corp.

These activities were held within the “Training for Employment” project, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.
